The following are some of the recent calls from the Glen Ellen and Kenwood area responded to by the Sonoma County Sheriff’s Sonoma Valley Substation.


January 1 2018
Someone broke into a property in the 2000 block of Cavedale Road and stole a travel trailer.

January 6 2018
A resident whose property had burned in the 700 block of Trinity Road had arrived at his property and found that his gate lock was broken, and the gate was open. It turned out that PG&E had entered the property so they could hook up power to a trailer.

January 9 2018
A man in the 15000 block of Marty Dr., reported losing his U.S. employment authorization card in the wildfires, and was told to report the loss to the sheriff for documentaion purposes.

A husband and wife living on Bennett Valley Lane reported that someone had fradulently tried to open up accounts in their names.

An employee of a local water district doing work on Martin Street called to report an agitated male neighbor driving around and yelling. The man was upset because water pressure had become low due to the work going on. He complained that his washing machine was being damaged because of the low pressure, and that he was in the middle of washing his dog.

Deputies got a call from the 300 block of Randolph Ave. over a dispute regarding a former boyfriend keeping his vehicle on the prperty. A deputy contact the parties involved and resolved the situation.

January 13 2018
At, 11:30 p.m. there was a report of a couple yelling and possible gunhots in the area of Arnold Dr. and Chauvet Rd. A deputy drove out and contacted a man, who said he had been shooting off fireworks.

January 16 2018
A woman in the 13000 block of Arnold Dr. said she had a restraining order against a relative that stated he had to stay 100 yards away from her residence. She suspected that the relative was staying in a home across the street. A deputy went out, knocked on the door of the home, but no one answered.

January 20 2018
Deputies got a call from the 100 block of Bonnie Way about two males who were trespassing and pumping water from a pool on a burned-out lot. The men told the caller that they wanted to skateboard in the empty pool. The males then left in a truck, and the caller said he would get back in touch with deputies if they came back.

January 21 2018
A member of a crew cleaning up a property destroyed by fire called to report finding firearms - three rifles and three pistols. A deputy drove out and picked up the firearms, which were unusable due to fire damage.

January 22 2018
A resident of Wolf Run called to report a fraud. Someone unauthorized had completed a change of mailing address form, and all the mail was being sent to an address in Minnesota. The resident was advised to put a fraud alert on his accounts.

A resident of Lakeside Dr. received a scam email stating that if the recipient didn't send $2,200 right away, the emailer would be "forced to execute the hit on you." The email also stated if the money was sent, they would let the recipient know who had ordered the hit.

January 24 2018
A resident in the 9000 block of Los Guilicos reported that a man and a woman were seen trespassing in neighbor;s yards. A deputy went out but could not locate anyone.

January 27 2018
A caller from the 15000 block of Sonoma Hwy. reported a computer fraud. The caller did bookkeeping work for an employer and was having a problem with a computer file. An attempt to get online help from the software maker was routed to another company that said it would cost $1,000 to fix the problem. After paying $1,000, the problems still persisted. Also, it became evident that the computer file had been compromised. The caller was in the process of trying to put a stop on the $1,000 payment.

January 29 2018
A woman who works at a business in the 13000 blovk of Arnold Dr. returned to her car after a tqo hour period and founf a broken windshield. No suspects. Estimated cost: $1000.

January 31 2018
A resident in the 4000 block of Warm Springs Road called to report a fraud. The resident said they hadn't been receiving mail in some time. The caller contacted the post office and discovered that someone had filled out a forwarding address so that the mail was instead going to to Lithia Springs, Georgia. The resident had reported the matter to the U.S. postal inspector.

January 31 2018
A resident of Laurel Ave. called to report that someone stating they were a lieutenant from the Sonoma Cosunty Sheriff's office had called and asked for her credit card number. The resident gave the fraudulent caller the numbers of two credit cards, and the fraudster then told her the cards had been declined. After realizing this was likely a scam, the resident cancelled her cards.

February 3 2018
A suspicious vehicle was reported in the 1000 block of Trinity Road. The caller said the vehicle had been there outside a gate to the propertyt for an hour, unoccupied. The caller said people had dumped cars in the area before, and they were concerned that this might be the case in this instance. A deputy drove out and could not locate anyone. Upon further investigation, it turned out the vehicle belonged to a relative of the propety owner.

February 4 2018
There were reports of a large, loud party around 12:45 a.m. in the 15000 block of Marty Dr. A deputy drove out and told the partiers to quiet down.

February 10 2018
A motorist in the 15000 block of Sonoma Hwy. called at 10 p.m. a man walking along the side of the road toward Sonoma with a screwdriver in his hand. The motorist followed the man and told deputies that he appeared to be talking to himself and had a teddy bear sticking out of a backpack. A deputy drove out and contacted the man who told the deputy that he had found the screwdriver on the road. Nothing further.

February 11 2018
A Sugarloaf State Park law enforcement official called and said he was about to arrest someone, but the suspect had a horse with him and wanted Animal Control to come and take care of the animal.

February 12 2018
A worker in the burn zone of Adine Ct. and Sylvia Dr. called to report finding a safe. The safe had appeared to be pried open. In it was a Social Security card. $45 in old currency, and a birth certificate. Neighbors said they would try to contact the owner of the property.

February 13 2018
A suspicious Toyota truck with a male and a female was reported driving around the neighborhood of Wake Robin and Lakeside Dr. The caller said it looked like the truck might be casing the neighborhood. A deputy drove out but was not able to locate the truck.

February 15 2018
Deputies got a call at 9:20 pm from a resident in the area of Warm Springs Road and Los Guilicos Ave. regarding a white pickup truck with a camper shell parked near the intersection and facing the wrong way. The vehicle had two men inside. A deputy drove out and contacted the resident, wh0 said that the truck had driven away.

February 15 2018
A caller reported finding two terry cloth robes and a towel along the side of the road in the 11000 block of Dunbar Road. The caller said it appeared the items had blood on them. The caller phoned later and said it wasn't blood but red wine stains. A deputy drove out to check it out anyway.

February 16 2018
At 8 pm, deputies got a call from a resident in the area of Browne and Greene Streets reporting suspicious vehicle on a property of a neighbor. The caller said the vehicle did not belong to the neighbor and that lights were off in the house. A deputy drove out and made contact with the vehicle's owner. It turned out the vehicle's owner has been displaced by the fires had been given permission to be on the property and sleep in the vehicle.

A loud party with screaming and yelling was reported in the 1000 block of Lawndale Rd. at a vacation rental.

A worker cleaning a burned property in the 12000 block of Dunbar Rd. reported finding five burned long guns and wanted a deputy to come pick them up.

February 18 2018
A caller from the 8000 block of Sonoma Mountain Rd. reported thinking they saw a man on their property running into the trees. The caller also said it might have been a deer.

February 21 2018
A caller from a property in the 9000 block of Bennett Valley Road reported a male trespasser who was last seen walking along Warm Springs Road toward Kenwood. The caller had found broken copper piping that had been put in a pile, and suspected the trespasser might have been the culprit.

February 22 2018
A clean-up worker was at a burn site in the Sugarloaf State Park area, and reported finding two shotgun barrels in the rubble. The guns were taken in for destruction.

February 23 2018
A resident in the 1000 block of Dawn Hill Road called to report a silver pick-up in parked in their yard. The caller suspected it might belong to a contractor working in the area.

February 24 2018
A member of a crew cleaning a burn site on Dunbar ROad found several burned and damaged firearms. A deputy picked the guns up and took them to be destroyed.

February 25 2018
A woman was taking a walk in the 14000 clock of Arnold Dr. when a truck drove by and revved its engine. The woman said she thught the driver did it on purpose to harass her. The woman said the truck was heading toward Sonoma on Arnold.

February 27 2018
A resident in the 2000 block of Lawndale Road called to report that PG&E had come on to the property without permission, cut down redwood trees, and hauled the pieces away.

March 2 2018
A caller from the Henno and Warm Springs Road area reported a suspicious vehicle with a male and female inside parked for over an hour in a turnout area. The caller said thre had been previous problems at that location with people pulling over and using drugs. A deputy drove out but the vehicle had already left.

March 2 2018
A resident of the 15000 block of Marty Dr. called to complain about construction work noise in the area that started at 5 a.m. The caller said they tried to talk to the noisy parties, but that they were rude. A deputy drove out, spoke with the workers, and determined th incident was not as was reported.

March 4 2018
Deputies got a call around noon from a woman in a vacation rental in the 8000 block of Sonoma Hwy. regarding a male stranger wearing a beanie who had come to the side door asking if anyone had any extra gas. The woman was renting the house with nine other women for the weekend. A deputy went out, contacted the man, and cleared the incident.

March 4 2018
A homeowner in the 1000 block of Lawndale Road reported that an ex-tenant was trespassing on the property and that it wasn't the first time. A deputy told the homeowner that this was a civil situation.

March 5 2018
Deputies got a call from the 8000 block of sonoma Hwy. regarding a petty theft. Tools and a television were taken. Total loss: $900.

March 7 2018
A contractor working on a property in the 8000 block of Sonoma Hwy. reported that power tools he was storing int the garage were stolen. Estimated loss: $600.

A resident of the 100 block of Hill Road called to complain about loud music being played at a nearby house. A deputy went out to the house in question but no one answered the door.

March 10 2018
A resident on Flicker Hill Raod called to report that someone had attempted to fraudently use their credit card. The caller said they had cancelled the card.

A tow truck driver trying to tow a vehicle in the ar4ea of Madrone Ave. and Marty Dr. called to report that a woman was out of control and yelling at him. A California Highway Patrol had been on the scene earlier to facilitiate the tow, so dispatch called for CHP to go back.

March 13 2018
A Kenwood resident was walking his dog in the 100 block of Cypress Ave. around 8:30 p.m. when a pit bull ran out in the street and attakced the man and his dog. Both had to seek medical attention. Apparently the pit bull got out from an open gate. Animal Control was called to handle the matter.

March 15 2018
A suspicious person was reported in the area of Marty Dr. and Thomas St. going door to door asking to look at residents' utility bills. A deputy drove out and contacted the person, who turned out to be from a legitimate energy company and was trying to recruit new customers.

March 16 2018
An illegal entry call came in from the 1000 block of Lawndale Road. The caller said a woman who has been been working there as a caregiver was being asked to leave and he wouldn't. The caregiver told deputies that it was OK to be there because her client had said it was OK. A deputy went out to the home, talked to the parties, and said this was a civil situation.

March 18 2018
A resident in the 100 block of Warm Springs Road said her dogs started barking int he middle of the night. When she woke up in the morning and went outside, she saw that her cable and electric box was open.

March 19 2018
The manager of some apartments in the 15000 block of Marty Dr. called to report tnat a tenant and a friend were caught on video throwing beer bottles at the camera and peeing. The caller said he would like a deputy to come out and look at the video.

March 21 2018
A man in the 15000 block of Burbank Ave. woke up and found that someone had stolen the hard top from his Miata. Estimated loss: $2000.

March 22 2018
An intoxicated man was reported on a bicycle near the entrance of Sonoma Valley Regional Park. Deputies tracked the 27-year-old man down. He appeared unsteady on his feet, his speech was slurred, and his eyes were bloodshot. The man said he was high on edibles. After an ID check, it turned out he was also violating his probation. The man was arrested. While driving to jail, the man continued to say how high and stoned he was.

March 22 2018
Deputies got call from a business in the 13000 blcok of Arnold Dr. an appently intoxicated patron was refusing to pay her bill, threw the check at an employee, and spit on a car as she was walking out. A deputy drove out, found the woman, and took her back to the business to pay her bill.

March 23 2018
A resident of the 14000 block of Sonoma Hwy. reported that an unknown BMW had been parked on the property for three days. The caller was advised to get the car towed.

March 24 2018
Someone for the laundramat in Glen Ellen called to report a woman there was yelling, threatening people, and swearing. The caller said the woman was mad because she said she was handicapped and that no one was helping hwer mover her laundry. A deputy went out and encouraged all parties to be nice to each other.

March 25 2018
There were numerous calls around 9 a.m. from the Madrone Road/Marty Dr. area about a car horn that had going off for 20 minutes. The vehicle's owner could not be found, so a tow truck went out and disconnected the horn.

March 27 2018
Deputies got a call from Landmark Vineyards staff about vandalism. Someone had pried off some metal lettering on one of its signs. There were also gouges in the sign where the letters came off. Estimated loss: $20,000.

March 29 2018
A resident in the area of Jane Court and Thomas St. reported numerous threatening texts from someone who used to beong to the caller's church, but now lived out of the area. The caller said the texter threatened to show up at the caller's house to fight. A deputy contacted both parties and determined the matter was a civil situation, not a criminal one.

March 31 2018
Staff at an inn in the 10000 block of Sonoma Hwy. called to report a male guest was yelling, throwing items in his room, and slamming and banging furniture. They reported the man was most likely intoxicated. By the time deputies arrived, the man was asleep.

A resident int he area of Arnold Dr. and London Ranch Road called to complain about a loud party somewhere nearby with loud music. A deputy went out and handled the matter.

A person walking their dog on Madrone Road called to report a suspicious possibly intoxicated homeless man trying to hide and in possession of a brand new bicycle. A deputy drove out but could not locate anyone.

April 1 2018
A resident on Wolf Run reported a trespasser on the property shooting a gun. The caller yelled at the man, who then ran away. The caller said it’s possible he may have come over from a Henno Road property. A deputy went out and was able to contact the shooter, who said he had a hunting license and was given permission to be on the adjacent Henno Road property. The man told the deputy he wasn’t sure what side of the property fence line he had been on.

April 2 2018
A suspicious occupied Dodge pickup was reported along the side of the road in the 900 block of Trinity Road. A deputy wnet out and contacted the male driver, who said he was picking mushrooms. The deputy told the man to leave.

April 2 2018
Deputies got a call from someone in the 13000 block of Arnold Dr. stating that they had just been bitten on the leg by a dog. Animal Control was called.

April 4 2018
A homeowner in the 4000 block of Warm Springs Road reported that someone had gained acces to the house by breaking out the glass of a door. Jewelry, tools, and a pillow case were missing. Total estimated loss: $570

April 6 2018
A man called from a place of business in the 13000 block of Sonoma Hwy. to report that a fellow worker had shown up, grabbed him by the neck and thrown him down. The assailant was no longer on the premises. The caller did not want to press charges, but just wanted deputies to have a record of the incident.

April 9 2018
in the 2000 block of Lawndale Road, there was a report of a woman yelling, screaming, and saying, "He's going to kill me". Officers attempted to call the reporting party back, but just got a voice mail. A deputy drove out to the area. There was nothing further in the report.

A resident in the 1000 block of Hill Road called to report that she thought her neighbor might be recording her telephine calls. She said when she talks on the phone, there is an echoing sound. The caller said she has cannabis on her property, and has ongoing issues with the neighbor. She said she would call deputies back if there was any escalation of the problem.

April 11 2018
A resident in the Kinneybrook area called to report being a victim of fraud.The caller's credit card statement had two transactions that the caller did not recognize, one for $297, and the other for $273. Both of the transcations wre made at businesses in Santa Rosa. The caller had contacted the credit card company to report the fraud.

A suspicious vehicle was reported in th 13000 block of Arnold Dr. in a turnout area with the window down. The caller wanted a deputy to come check it out. Nothing further.

At 2am, a suspicious black Dodge was reported in the parking lot of the Glen Ellen Village Market. An occupant had gotten out of the car and was looking around. A deputy went out and could not find anything.

A resident in the 4000 block of Lakeside Dr. called at 1:15am to report hearing a woman screaming in the creek area. A deputy went out and could not locate anything suspicious.

A man reported that he left his cell phone at a business in the 13000 block of Arnold Dr. He also reported that it seemed apparent that someone had found the phone and used it to send a lewd text message to his wife. The man said that the store had checked video footage of the store, but told the man that they were not allowed to share it.

A trespass was reported at a burned property on Bonnie Way. Two people were reported skateboarding in an empty pool. A deputy drove out but no one was there.

A resident in the 15000 block of Marty Way reported coming out of her home and finding a large dent in her vehicle. She said the dent had not been there when she parked and left the car. She said she suspected this might be an act of vandalism by a former boyfriend.

A large noisy party was reported taking place in the 13000 block of Sonoma Hwy. The caller said it appeareed that there was underage drinking going on. A deputy drove out and there was a gate that made it impossible to enter the property. The deputy was able to make contact with a resident of the house, wh told the deputy there was no underage alcohol use happening.

A resident of Hill Road reported that he uses a live streaming site called YouNow. The caller said he had gotten into a dispute with other users of the application, and was afraid some of them could find out where he liived and come to harm him

A Kenwood resident called to report that a vacation rental in the area of Brown Ave. was being too noisy. The caller was told to contact the Permit and Resource Management Department.

April 20 2018
A resident in the area of London Ranch Road and Arnold Dr. called around 10:45 p.m. to report that people nearby were making a lot of noise and kept calling out out a female name. A deputy wemt out and handled the situation.

April 21 2018
A man residing on Martin St. told deputies that he was going through his brother's belongings and found a credit card in his own name. He had not given his brother permission to open up an account in his name. The man said he had called the bank and had removed his name from the account. No charges had been made with the card.

At 3:30 a.m., deputies got a call from a person camping at Sugarloaf Ridge State Park about a male camper who had been drinking and wouldn't quiet down and go to bed. The man did not have any pants on and was wearing an orange polo shirt. A unit went out and found the subject responsive but heavily intoxicated. Medical transportation was called.

Two golden retrievers were reported missing from the 9000 block of Ladera Road. The matter was referred to Animal Control.

A contractor hired to build a fence on a property in teh 8000 block of Sonoma Hwy. called to report that a neighbor of the job site had threatened to hit one his employees. A deputy went out and cleared everything up.

April 24 2018
A caller reported seeing two men break out a window of a vehicle in a parking area of Kunde Estate Winery. The men were reported going in and out of the vehicle. A unit went out, and it turned out the car belonged to one of the men and that they had locked the keys in the vehicle and decided to break the window to gain access.

April 25 2018
At 11 p.m., a resident in the 15000 block of Burbank Dr. called to report that a suspicious occupied vehicle had been parked in front of the house for five minutes. The caller turned the porch lights on and off, and the car then drove down the road.

April 26 2018
A man staying at a friend's house in the 2000 block of Lawndale Road called to report seeing someone outside with a flashlight near a shed. No one else was supposed to be on the property. A deputy drove out, could not locate anyone, and secured the area.

May 1 2018
A resident in the 1000 block of Lawndale Raod called at 9 p.m. to report a suspicious pickup with lots of junk in it parked along the road. A deputy drove out, made contact with the vehicle's occupant, and told the driver to move along.

May 2 2018
Deputies got a call from a residence in the 1000 block of lawndale about a man trespassing on the property. The trespasser was a relative who had been told many times he could not be on the property, said the caller. The caller was advised that this sounded like a civil matter and suggested a temporary restraining order be obtained.

May 3 2018
A caller form the 1000 block of Lawndale Road reported there was a relative in the house that was not supposed to be there and was trespassing. The caller ssaid the relative had been served with multiple eviction notices. A unit went out, made contact with both the caller and the relative, and told them this was a civil law matter.

May 4 2018
Deputies got a call from a woman who said she had returned to her Randolph Ave. home after being away five days, and discovered on a patio table a botle of Bacardi, wallet with $1,300 in cash, cigarettes and a lighter. A deputy attempted to call the person through an ID in the wallet, but no one answered. The deputy took the wallet back the substation.

May 4 2018
A motorist reported seeing a man walking eastbound on Sonoma Hwy. near Madrone Ave. The caller siad the man was stumbling and had some kind of bottle in his hand. A California Highway Patrol Unit went out but could not locate the man.

May 6 2018
A handyman of a property in the 1000 block of Treehaven called to report that two men had been on the property digging up irises and rose bushes, and putting them in a pickup truck. The truck did not have any plates.

May 8 2018
A caller reported that an SUV was driving erraticcaly, pulled off Sonoma Hwy. onto Pythian Rd. and went into a ditch. A deputy made contact with a male driver, who appeared sweaty with constricted pupils. The man said three friends had been in the car and then began fighting. The deputy discovered that the driver was on probation, and determined that he was violating the terms of the probation. The man did not pass a field test and was arrested for suspicion of being under the influence of a controlled substance.

Someone dumped concrete roofing tiles in a dumpster at Kenwood School.

A resident in the 12000 block of Vintage Lane reportes that someone was on the property. A light motion detector had gone off. A deputy went out, check out the aea, and could not find anybody.

May 9 2018
Deputies got a call from the 14000 block of Arnold Dr. regarding a fraud. The caller told the deputy that she checked her bank account and saw that three checks had been fraudulently written for a total of $4582. She said she had never written those checks, and saw that the signatures were not hers.

A resident int he Marty Dr. and Cressy Dr. area called at 7 p.m. to report a man outside peeing in a corner The man did get eventually speak with a deputy over the phone, and explained he ws in dire straights and thought he was out of view of anyone. He said he wouldn't do it again.

May 14 2018
A resident of the 1000 block of Adobe Canyon Rd. told deputies that she had done to walk her her dog about 9 a.m. When she returned she found her rear door open, and her wallet open on the dresser in her bedroom. A credit card and two debit cards were missing. Nothing else was taken, though a cover over a motorcycle in the garage had been removed.

May 18 2018
Medical personnel went out to the area of London Ranch Rd. and Arnold Dr. at 12:20 a.m. to tend to an injured male and female. The female was heavily intoxicated and was bleeding from a two inch cut on her right eyebrow. The male was disoriented and unsteady. A deputy canvassed the area to see if anyone had seen anything, such as an assault, but could not find anyone who saw anything. The man and woman were transported to a hospital.

May 19 2018
Around 8:30 p.m., two females walked into the Jack London bar and were intoxicated. The bartender would not serve them. nd the women made a scene. A deputy came by and told the women to move along.

A motorist called to report a silvery Chevy Traverse was swerving and cutting people off on Sonom aHwy. near Dunbar Rd.

May 22 2018
A woman living in the 100 block of Shaw Ave. called to say she thought her daughter's phone had been stolen from an aquatic center. She later called to report that the phone had been found at the residence.

May 24 2018
Deputies got a call from a resident of the 14000 block of Arnold Dr. who said there was a suspicious vehicle parked in a neighbor's driveway. The caller said it looked like someone was in the vehicle smoking a cigarette, and the vehicle had been parked there for 5-10 minutes. A unit drove out but could not find anything.

A report of multiple gunshots over a 40 minute period was called into deputies by a resident of the 3000 block of Warm Springs Road. A deputy drove out and discovered that somone was legally doing target practice into a hillside.

A resident of the 14000 bock of Arnold Dr. called to report that he suspected a housemate had taken some prescription pills. This person had previously asked the caller if he could share the meds, but the caller had declined. The caller said the person had since left the residence and did not know where he was living now.

A loud party was reported in the 8000 block of Brown Ave.

At 10 a.m., a contractor's truck was reported racing up and down Thomas St. When asked to slow down, the driver failed to comply. A deputy drove out and told the driver to knock it off.

June 1 2018
A man's back passenger window was broken as he was parked in the parking lot of St. Francis Vineyards. A laptop computer was stolen, worth about $2,000. A limousine drive parked in the lot said he waw a man near the vehicle, but couldn't see him clearly, and did not actually see any break-in.

A resident in the 2000 block of Warm Springs Road called at 11 a.m. to report that a man parked his truck about the same time every day along the road. Sometimes the man stayed in the car and sometimes the man sat in a lawn chair next to the truck. The truck was presently parked there. A deputy drove out but could not located anyone.

June 3 2018
A resident of the 1000 block of Hill Road found a license plate that had apparently dropped off the truck of someone working on a property. The resident neeed help in returning the plate.

June 4 2018
A woman caring for an elderly person in the 900 block of Carquinez Ave. called to report a suspicion that another worker at the home might be stealing. The caller said she had found a pile of jewelry under some garments where the cleaning supplies were. The caller said she wasn't actually sure how the jewelry got there, and decided she did not want to file a crime report.

June 4 2018
Around 10:30 p.m. deputies got a call from a resident in the 1000 block of Lawndale Road regarding a vacation rental property where the guests were setting off fireworks. A deputy went out but could not enter the property because a gate was closed and needed a code to enter.

A suspicious vehicle was reported parked in a parking lot on Sonoma Land Trust property at Arnold Dr. and Sonoma Hwy., and had been there for 24 hours. By the time a deputy drove to the site, the vehcle was gone.

A resident of the 15000 block of Arnold Dr. called to complain that his neighbor was in the adjacent backyard smoking marijuan. The caller said his kids were playing outside abd felt it wasn't appropriate for neighbor to be smoking the weed so close by.

Employees from the Glen Ellen Grocery called at 10 p.m. to report that a customer refused to leave because the store refused to sell him alcohol. As one of the employees was on the phone with dispatch, the man, who was apparently intoxicated, left on foot.

A resident in the 1000 block of Hill Road called to report receiving a letter from someone the resident met through social media. The letter writer, who is from out of state, said he wanted a romantic relationship. The caller said she had blocked the person from her social media and now wants a restraining order against him. The caller was advised as to how to obtain a restraining order.

A caller from the 1000 block of Hill Road called to report that a vehicle had been blocking the driveway. When asked to move the car, the male driver became agitated and moved the vehicle hitting the caller. The caller was not injured.

The withdrawls added up to $2400. The resident said she hadn’t authorized the withdrawls and had never heard of the Florida company.

A neighbor of a vacation rental in the 300 blocvk of Treehaven called at 1 a.m. to report people were outside the rental in a backyard making noise. A deputy drove out and talked to the group, which then went inside.

At 12:30 a.m., deputies got a call regarding a loud party with music and singing. A deputy went out and told the partiers to quiet down.

A resident of the 2000 block of Warm Springs Road said he was parked in this driveway when a car passed by driving at excessive speed. The resident yelled at the male driver to slow down. The driver stopped and then challenged the resident to a fight. The driver swung his fists several time and hit the resident once, with the resident getting a punch in as well. The driver sped off, and the victim couldn’t get the license plate number. The victim did not need medical attention. Deputies told the victim to call 9-1-1 if the driver returned.

A possible prowler was reported in the 800 block of Warm Springs Road around 10:30 p.m. A houseitter had arrived at a property and discovered that a strange vehicle was parked on the property. The housesitter said no one else was supposed to be there. A deputy went out to check it out. Nothing further.

A resident of the 100 block of Hill Road who was looking at video footage of the property while off site reported seeing a male and female on the property peering into the home. The caller then reported that the two had walked away.

A suspicious vehicle was reported at 7 p.m. parked in the area of Enterprise and Sonoma Mountain Roads. The caller said three men were standing by a truck smoking cigarettes. The caller was concerned about potential fire danger, A deputy drove out and made contact with the three men.

Dispatch got contacted at 1 a.m. from a woman who was calling from a road call box in the area of Sonoma Hwy. and Nuns Canyon Road. The dispatcher heard voices of a man and woman shouting. Nothing further.

A resident in the area of Lawndale and Buckeye Roads reported that his back nad called and said there had been a credit score inquiry from another bank using the caller's Social Security Number. The caller said this was a fraudulent request. That same day, the resident went to his post office box and was told that someone had gotten his mail forwarded to an address in Lawrenceville, Georgia. This was done without the resident's knowledge. Police in Georgia traced the adress to a vacant house.

A woman in the 13000 block of Williams Road called to report that her husband's cockatoo had gotten out of its cage and attacked her. The woman, who was alone in the home, was calling from upstairs and said she was afraid to go back down because of the loose cockatoo. Animal Control personnel were contacted who advised the woman that this situation was not one they would likely respond to. They advised her to get ahold of her husband.

The owner of a business in the 9000 block of Sonoma Hwy. reported that her business had been burglaized.When the owner arrived for work, she saw that four wrought iron chairs had been stolen from an enclosed patio area, as well as a wooden bench and a cement urn. Part of the wire fence that enclosed the patio had been cut. Total loss: $950.

A resident of the 9000 block of Cecelia Ave. called to report that he had performed some roof work for a client, but had not gotten paid. Then he received an envelope with an unsigned check inside smeared with feces. Deputies told the man to contact the U.S. Postal Service.

A resident of the 300 block of Lawndale Road called around 10:30 p.m. to report hearing a loud thump as well as footsteps on her deck. The caller said she was alone and that no one else should be on the property. A deputy went out, could not find anyone, and secured the area.

A neighbor in the 2000 block of Schultz Roadd called at 9:45 a.m. to report that a suspicious vehicle had pulled into the driveway of a burned property. It later turned out that it was the homeowner in the vehicle.

An employee at a business in the 14000 block of Arnold Dr. called at 11:30 p.m. to say she was closing up. and that there was a man sitting on a bench near the business. She said the man, who also had a dog, made her uncomfortable, and that she was afraid to walk to her car. A deputy went out and handled the situation.

A woman staying with a group at a vacation rental in the 300 block of Treehaven called to report that neighbors had come into the yard with flashlights. She said the neighbors were angry, yelling that the renters were being too loud, and were shining the lights in her face. A deputy drove out to assess the situation, and told the neighbors to contact the county's Permit and Resource Management Department to inquire about possible permit violations.

A deputy on patrol at 9 p.m. saw a hitchhiker along Sonoma Hwy. near Arnold Dr. The deputy contacted a 53-year-old man from Santa Rosa who said he missed the bus. The deputy determined the man was intoxicated. A check indicated the man was on probation with one of the conditions being he did not use alcohol. The man was arreste for a probation violation.

A resident in the 14000 block of Arnold Dr. called to say she wanted to document an altercation with a neighbor who lived on the same property. The caller said that an acquaintance had just left and that the neighbor in question had taken a picture of the person’s car. The caller said she felt this was odd and inappropriate.

Deputies got a call from a woman who said that she and her boyfriend were about 15 minutes into a hike at Sugarloaf Ridge State Park on the Gunsight Rock trail when they saw a naked man walking in the area. The woman screamed, and the man walked out of sight without saying anything. The couple couldn't tell deputies the exact location of the naked man, so deputies decided not to search the area given its remoteness.

A man took two 18-packs of Coors Light, and three cans of Long Island iced tea and left the Glen Ellen Grocery without paying. The man was know to have stolen items from the store before and was familar to law enforcemnt. Total loss: $46.80.

A vacation rental on Mervin Ave. was the target of extensive vandalism. A neighbor called after hearing a loud verbal argument between a male and a female, and glass shattering at a nearby residence. After a time not hering anything, the caller went over to the residence, looked through the window. It appeared the house had been ransacked. Deputies went out and found extensive damage - broken glass, flipped over furniture, windows broken, a shattered television, a broken glass door and chandelier, etc. The manager of the rental property arrived and gave deputies the name of the last people signed up for the rental, a party from San Francisco. As of press time, the case was still being investigated.

Deputies cot a call at 10 p.m. from the 2000 block of London Ranch Road to report two subjects in a physical altercation, and now were separated. Both had been drinking. One of the combatants said they would wait for the deputy to arrive. Then one subject said he wanted to press charges. Then they both decided to just leave.

Deputies got a call at 4:30 a.m. regarding a burglary in progress in the 1000 block of Creekside Court. A resident said that an unidentified male all dressed in block was trying to gain access through the back door of a garage. The resident ran inside the main part of the house to grab a shotgun but when he returned the man was gone. A deputy drove out and found a man walking on Arnold Dr. whose clothes matched the description of the victim. The suspect had a number of peices of shrub stuck in his jeans. He gave the deputy some identification, which turned out to be false. The man had a car which had burglary tools inside. He was arrested for suspicion of burglary, illegal entry, possesion of burglary tools, and giving false identification.

Deputies responded to a call at 9 p.m. regarding an intoxicated male walking along Sonoma Hwy. near Adobe Canyon Road. Deputies found a male staggering and stumbling, drinking a beer in one hand and filming himself with a cell phone in another. After pulling him out of oncoming traffice, deputies discovered the male was from out of state and was 18 years old. The male said he was walking home to Rohnert Park and had been drinking because he had just broken up with his girlfriend. He was cited for underage drinking and taken to an alcohol rehab center.

Deputies got a call at 4:15 a.m. from a resident n the 15000 block of Marty Dr. about a possible prowler. The caller said someone was outside the home and trying to open the door. A deputy drove out and canvassed the area but could not locate anything suspicious.

The man left on a bike, returned, and tried to apologize to the caller. A deputy drove out to the site, but the man had left again by the time the deputy arrived.

At 1:30 a.m., deputies got a call from the 12000 block of Sonoma Hwy. regarding a suspicious occupied vehicle parked on the side of the road. The caller said the occupant, a woman with face tattoos, had asked for gas, changed her shirt, and was now wiping down her car and acting “weird.” A deputy drove out and contacted the woman, who had actually run out of gas.

A resident of the 6000 block of Enterprise Road reported hearing yelling and profanities from someone outside, possible a neighbor. A deputy drove out and conatced the neighbor, who said she had been working outside and everything was fine.

A Glen Ellen resident went into the grocery store in the 13000 block of Arnold Dr. to fill up water jugs. Upon returning, his dog was missing from his car, and there was no way the dog could have jumped out. Then, a man came out from the creek area with the dog. When condronted, the man said he was just taking the dog for a walk. A deputy said he would go out and look for the man who came from the creek.

Deputies got a call around 7 p.m. regarding a man screaming from a residence in the area of Yell Lane and Crmel Ave. A deputy drove out but all was quiet.

A caller reported that they had left their iphone in the bathroom at the Jack London saloon the night before. The caller asked bar staff about the phone but no one had turned it in. The phone did not have a screen lock, so the cller had her provider wipe the phone. Estimated loss: $400.

Deputies got hree calls around 7L30 a.m. about loud music blasting froma a scheduled concert site at B.R. Cohn Winery. The callers said the concert was not supposed to start until later that day, and that it was too early for loud music to be playing from the venue.

A resident of the 11000 block of Dunbar Road called upset about the shiny reflecting streamers in a nearby vineyard that caused unwanted flashes of light into her home. The caller was told that the vineyard's owner has a right to use the streamers, which help keep birds and other animals away when harvest is going on. The caller said, "What am I supposed to do? Keep the blinds closed for the next three months?', and asked that a deputy go talk to the vineyard owner. The Sheriff's office said no.

Deputies got a call from Nelligan Road where the caller reported that gasoline had been siphoned out of his car three times in one week. The caller asked for an extra patrol in the are. He was advised as to how to get a locking gas cap.

The caller said the contractor stopped showing up and that the suppliers he called said they hadn't been paid yet. A deputy unsuccessfully tried to contact the contractor. A couple involved in renovating their home on Bennett Valley Road reported finding a jar of non-dairy creamer inside a wall of the house. They said they thought it was possibly drugs, not non-dairy creamer in the jar. A deputy went to check it out, and the case was cleared.

A loud party was reported at 10 p.m. at a residence in the 13000 block of Sonoma Hwy. Deputies went out and contacted a birthday pary that was going on, and asked the revelers to turn down the music.

A suspicous man was reported parked in the 15000 block of Henno Road, drinking out of the kind of red cup normally used for beer. The man had been there for twenty minutes.

There was a report at 7:45 p.m. of females screaming from a vehicle parked in the 12000 block of Sonoma Hwy. The caller said another car had just pulled up. Deputies went out and located an unoccupied vehicle, but no one was around.

A deputy was driving eastbound at 5:30 a.m. on Sonoma Hwy. near Warm Springs Road when a vehicle behind was catching up quickly with driving consistent with being under the influence. The deputy pulled the vehicle over, where a woman driver said she was going to the fairgrounds in Santa Rosa but made a wrong turn. Her behavior was consistent with being intoxicated, and was arrested for suspicion of being under the influence.

Deputies got a call about an intoxicated man in a parking lot in the 13000 block of Arnold Dr. He was falling over and stumbling. The caller said he was concerned the man would fall into the creek.

A motorist called to report a physical fight between two men at Bennett Valley Road and Bennett Valley Lane. The caller said one of the men hit the other with a stick. Deputies drove out but could not locate anyone.

At 11:50 p.m. deputies got a call about a loud party in the 15000 block of Marty Dr. A deputy went out but all was quiet.

A silver Hyundai parked around Carmel Ave. and Arnold Dr. was broken into. The front passenger window was smashed, and a suitcase was stolen. Estimated loss:$500.

A caller said she was parked in the area of Sonoma Hwy. and Adobe Canyon Road, and someone stole some medication out of her unlocked parked vehicle.

November 2 2018
Deputies got a call from the area of Sonoma Hwy. and Aurora Lane about a found bicycle in a ditch. The bike was taken to the substation in Sonoma.

A resident in the 1000 block of Hill Road called to report a scam. Someone pretending to be from Apple had called trying to gain information that would have given them access to the caller's computer.

Deputies got a call at 10:45 p.m. about a loud party in the 6000 block of Sonoma Mountain Road. Deputies went out but the suspect property was inaccessible because of a locked gate.

A resident in the 13000 block of Mound Ave. reported finding a pile of kindling at the base of her driveway. It appeared that someone had tried to light the kindling. The caller said she didn't know where the kindling came from.

There was a report of a homeless encampment near a creek in the 8000 block of Sonoma Mountain Road. There were tow tents and lots of trash. On Nov. 4, a deputy contacted a woman at the site, advised her she was violating Fish & Game code by camping so close to the creek, and was told to pack up. A deputy went by the next day and the woman was still there, along with a handful of other campers. She was warned again she had to leave or risk arrest. Two days later, a deputy went to the site and she was still there. She was arrested.

An employee of the gas station in Kenwood came to work in the morning and found that the front door had been broken. She wasn't sure yet if anything had been taken.

Deputies got a call at 9:30 a.m. about a homeless man living in a vehicle, and parked in the parking lot of the Kenwood Depot. The man was also using the depot’s outside electrical outlets. The caller did not want any charges pressed.

A resident of the 1000 block of Adobe Canyon Road reported a man on the property acting strangely. The man then started walking down Adobe Canyon Road. A deputy went out but could not locate anyone.

The homeless man and his vehicle was still parked in the lot of the Kenwood Depot, this time with another person. A deputy drove out to move the man along, but he was gone by the time the deputy arrived.

Deputies got a call a little after midnight about an intoxicated man at the Jack London Saloon. He was seen using a knife to peel off a beer bottle label. Deputies went out and it turned out the man was on probation with conditions that he not drink alcohol and not possess weapons. He was subsequently arrested for parole violations.

A resident in the are of the 100 block of Randolph Ave. called to report hearing a loud, high-pitched sound from a nearby building. It appeared that the sound was coming from Frontier Communictions telecommunications facility on Randolph.

A resident in the 15000 block fo Arnold Dr. reported that someone had vandalized their car door.

Deputies got a disturbance call at 10 p.m. from the 15000 block of Marty Dr. A resident reported hearing what sounded like someone kicking a door of a nearby apartment, along with yelling and crying. A deputy went out and made contact with a male, who said he was upset over spilled milk.

A resident of the 14000 block of Arnold Dr. called to complain about a neighbor who was taking photos of their vehicle as well as visitors they were having over. The caller said the neighbor then sent a text to her husband stating, "Smile for the camera." A deputy drove out but the neighbor would not come to the door. The deputy gave advice to the caller regaring restraining orders.

Deputies responded to a call about someone setting a camp fire near the Glen Ellen Post Office. The deputy located ashes, as well as evidence of other fires near the bridge.

Deputies went out to a restaurant in the 13000 block of Arnold Dr. regarding a drunk patron. Deputies found a 65-year-old Sonoma woman who appeared intoxicated and refused to leave. A deputy approached her and offered to give her a ride home, which triggered a verbal assault, stating in part, “F___ you, I hate you.” The deputy got her to go outside where she remained verbally abusive. She was placed under arrest for public intoxication and taken to an alcohol rehabilitation center.

A suspicious vehicle was reported int he 15000 block of Marty Dr. There was a man inside lying down, and he had been there a long time.

Someone stole a number of tools, including a chainsaw, from an unlocked shed in the 12000 block of Dunbar Road.

at 1:30 a.m., there was a report of two men in a parking lot in the 13000 block of Arnold Dr., yelling and threatening each other. Nothing further.

A man living int he 15000 block of Marty Dr. reportd finding a methamphetamine pipe in his bed. The caller said he suspected a relative who had moved into the home recently, but when asked, she had denied the pipe was hers. The relative said that probaby someone had entered the home and left the pipe there. Nothing further.

At 3:300 a.m., deputies got a call about two men having an argument outside int he 14000 block of Arnold Dr. The caller said she heard one man say, "That's my wife!", with the other man saying, "I would never disrespect you." The caller said the men were still yelling at each other, and she would call back if the situation gets worse.

December 4 2018
A resident in the area of Henno and Warm Springs roads called to report a male with a trailer and truck parked on private property. When approached, the 53-year-old man said he was drying his trailer after the rain, and was fixing his truck. A deputy went out and it turned out the man was on probation. He had a silver folding knife in his possession. Inside the trailer, the deputy found two glass pipes with residue, and another pipe, which was clean. The deputy also found ten other blades of various sizes in the trailer. The man was released with a citation, but was required to appear in court for probation violations.

Deputies got a complaint about a man living in a pickup truck with a camper on a burned property in the area of Henno Road and O'Donell Lane. The man had no permission to be there.

A Suspicious vehicle was reported in the 2000 block of Warm Springs Road. Deputies contacted a man in a small pickup with a camper shell, and he was taking apart a bookcase outside the vehicle. The deputy told the man to move along.

December 13 2018
A patron of a business in downtown Glen Ellen called to report that she thinks a cashier had overcharged her for various items. Nothing further.

December 14 2018
Deputies got a call about a loud party in the 700 block of Madrone Road. A deputy drove out but could not find anything.

December 17 2018
A resident in the 1000 block of Trinity Road called to report getting numerous phone cals regarding a supposed legal action against him in another county. The caller said the resident could settle the case with a payment, and threatened to send the sheriff to his home. The resident had no recollection of any former legal matter, and determined this was an attempt at fraud.

December 25 2018
A resident of the 15000 block of Marty Dr. called to report that someone had damaged her vehicle overnight. The left side of the bumper was damaged. Estimated loss: $1,000.

December 28 2018
A resident of the 15000 block of Marty Dr. called to report a suspicious vehicle with dealer plates and an unknown male driver had been hanging around for few days. A deputy drove out and contacted the man. It turned out he he did live, or is associated with, and apartment in the area.

At 2 a.m., deputies got a call from the 600 block of Adobe Canyon Road about a pickup trick driving up and down the road with its flashers on.

A young female teen called at 1 a.m. to complain that a relative was blocking the driveway. A deputy drove out, discovered the relative was not blocking the driveway, and that there had been an argument in the household.

Deputies got a call around 10:45 p.m. from a resident on Mission Dr. in Kenwood about loud music coming from the Kenwood shopping center.
