Kenwood's Farmer's Wife now in the BarlowKenwood resident Kendra Kolling, of the Farmer's Wife, recently opened her first brick and mortar eatery. The new Farmer's Wife is located in the Barlow outdoor marketplace in Sebastopol, serving Kendra's layered sandwiches, open-faced tartines, soups, salads, and more, as well as an all-day breakfast menu. There's a cookie and milk bar, too!
The Farmer's Wife has won multiple awards over the years for its sandwiches, which can also be found at farmer's markets at The Ferry Building Plaza in San Francisco, and the Marin Civic Center, as well as at a number of events in the county and greater Bay Area, such as Outside Lands.
The café is open from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily at 6760 McKinley Street, Suite 120, Sebastopol.

Zin release at Beltane Ranch Plan a magical evening at Beltane Ranch at their Zin Release Dinner and Barn Party on Saturday, Nov. 3, 5-10 p.m.
The ranch's horse barn is transformed for this event, which features winemaker Kevin Holt, sunset hors d'oeuvres, roping lessons with local cowboy Tony Knecht, and more. All this is followed by a multi-course estate-grown dinner expertly paired with Beltane estate wines. Then get ready to dance to live Western Swing by Twang Ditty, and top it all off with fireside s'mores.

Chamber offers Lunch & Learn event The Sonoma Valley Chamber of Commerce will host “Lunch & Learn” on Nov. 27, when Fran Meininger will speak on “20 Steps to Running a Successful Nonprofit.”
The luncheon starts at 11:30 p.m. at HopMonk Tavern in Sonoma.
In this fast-paced, succinct overview, Meininger will share what she learned in her 15 years as a nonprofit executive director about how to be a dynamic leader, build community, and develop the support you need to serve your clients.
Meininger served as executive director of Boys and Girls Club of Sonoma Valley for 10 years during the transition to the facility in Maxwell Park, raising $3.2 million and expanding the program to serve 1,200 youth. In addition, she led the Sonoma Valley Education Foundation in developing strategies to not only provide funding but to initiate programs supporting education in our public schools. She is now a volunteer mentor for Northcoast SCORE, specializing in providing support for executive directors and volunteers of nonprofits.

Transcendence's Broadway Holiday Spectacular Looking for a great family event over the holidays? Look no further.
Transcendence Theatre Company, creators and producers of the award-winning “Broadway Under the Stars,” will be making spirits bright with its annual presentation of “Transcendence's Broadway Holiday Spectacular.” These shows are scheduled for Nov. 30-Dec. 2 in the Ruth Person Theater at the Luther Burbank Center for the Arts in Santa Rosa.

Transcendence's primary home since 2011 has been the winery ruins at Jack London State Historic Park, where its summer shows have attracted over 150,000 patrons, and helped raise over $440,000 for the park.
Blues & Brunch at TIPS TIPS Roadside is now serving weekend brunch starting at 9 a.m. and on Nov. 11, TIPS is combining blues and brunch with The Hillbilly Blue duo. Hillbilly Blue is Anne Adams and Mike Billo, and they will be playing old blues tunes on a variety of acoustic instruments between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. For brunch, the restaurant offers beignets, egg dishes, grilled steelhead, burgers and more.
