Friday July 12th - 4:30pmThe tour of the Hood Mansion grounds will be held from 4:30-5:30 p.m., prior to the Dylan Black Project taking the stage on July 12. The tour requires a separate ticket, which can be purchased online at www.sonomacountyparksfoundation.org/history-walk.html. For $75 per person, guests will have a walking tour of the grounds outside Hood Mansion, tracing its history from the Guiluc people who lived in the area and whose labor was essential to the home’s construction, to Scotsman William Hood and his wife, Eliza, a famous “lady winemaker,” to its more recent incarnations as a senator’s country retreat and home for the elderly members of the Knights of Pythias. The tour will be followed by complimentary appetizers and a book signing by Dawson. The ticket also includes admission to that evening’s Funky Fridays concert and a drink ticket. Proceeds will be directed specifically to improvements at Hood Mansion.
The walking tour will be offered for a second time on Friday, Aug. 9, from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m.
