Anti-racism training at St. Patrick's

Saturday March 2017 - 8:30am to

St. Patrick’s is offering a day of anti-racism training on Saturday, March 11, 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m.

The trainers and program come from the Commission for Intercultural Ministry, headed by the Rev. Lewis Sitting Panther Powell (Deacon), Indigenous Ministries Missioner, Diocese of Northern California.

There will be small group discussions, videos, Bible study, prayer, and sharing to help participants better understand key concepts and wrestle with issues of power and privilege, culture, structural and institutional racism, and where God calls us to be brothers and sisters in this multicultural church and culture. Lunch will be provided.

Registration is limited. Please call the church at 833-4228 by Feb. 27. Registration fee of $20 may be paid by check to St. Patrick’s Episcopal Church.

For more information, contact Miriam Casey, 833-2129, or Deacon Marcia Tyriver, 537-9355.

This event is co-sponsored by the Adult Education Committee and the Faith in Action Group at St. Patrick’s.
