Hood Mountain Regional Park - Pythian Entrance

Tuesday March 28th 2017 - 5:30pm to

Take a 2- to 3-mile hike at Hood Mountain Regional Park during a guided wildflower walk on March 28, 5:30-7:30 p.m. Look for spring wildflowers like Diogenes’ lanterns, checker lilies, scarlet fritillary and other remarkable blooms. In celebration of Sonoma County Regional Parks’ 50th anniversary, the goal is to find 50 species of wildflowers. The group will also explore fruits and seeds and how the next generation is dispersed. The hike covers some steep terrain. Wear sturdy shoes, bring water, and a hat or sunscreen. Meet at the Pythian Road entrance. Free. Parking $7 or free for Regional Parks members. For more information, call 565-3080.
