Stories out loud at Jack London

Jack London State Park

Saturday August 12th 2017 - 4:00pm to

Join Jack London Park docent Doc Stull for the out-loud reading and discussion of “War,” Jack London’s gripping 1911 short story of man versus nature and man versus man, set in an unspecified land during an unspecified conflict.

The event takes place Aug. 12, 4-6 p.m. at the House of Happy Walls museum in Jack London State Historic Park.

Jack London wrote hundreds of short stories culled from his own experience at sea, the challenges of the Klondike, his world travels, and from the fields and factories of California. Hearing them read out loud brings each story to life and inspires lively audience discussions.

Refreshments will be served during the break. Access to the venue is by a narrow staircase. Contact the office at 938-5216 with questions concerning accessibility.

Admission is free, but $10 parking fee applies. Limited to 30 participants. Make reservations at jacklondonpark.com/jl-short-story.html or call 938-5216.
