The Glen Ellen Village Fair
Sunday October 2017 -
On Sunday, Oct. 8, the Glen Ellen Village Fair will take place for the 27th year – a celebration of fun, food, music and community.
“A Sense of Community” is the theme this year and the Grand Marshal is the Sonoma Developmental Center.
The parade starts at noon and the fair begins immediately afterward. Live musical entertainment on the Main Stage will be Ten Foot Tone, The Illegitimate AC/DC, and Jami Jamison Band. And for the younger crowd on the Second Stage, come hear Radar, The Trips, RockCats, and more. There is a little something for everyone.
Food available includes corn dogs, pasta, sandwiches, salads, Mexican food, chili, mac ‘n’ cheese, cannolis, pretzels and more. Wet your whistle with beer, wine, lemonade, smoothies, shaved ice, and hot or cold coffee and espresso drinks.
Vendors will also include local businesses selling jewelry, apparel, handbags, hats, rocks and gems, wood carvings, baskets, fine art, photography, blankets – get a jumpstart on your holiday shopping.
Community groups will be on hand to share important information, including the Glen Ellen Historical Society, Glen Ellen Forum, Farmers Market, Jack London Park Partners, Rotary Club of Glen Ellen-Kenwood, and Pets Lifeline.
Local radio station KSVY 91.3 FM will be broadcasting live. The Free Bookmobile of Sonoma County will also be on hand.
Sit yourself down on a bale of straw with a plate of food and a beverage. Let the kids spend some time in the crafts booth, have their face painted and ride a pony. Kids Alley will have carnival-style games for youngsters.
Try your luck with a raffle ticket (or five or 10), and take home a fair T-shirt or vintage poster.
