Energy independence discussed at SIR #92

Dori Estrella, energy and sustainability analyst for Sonoma Countyís Energy and Sustainability Division will be the guest speaker at SIR #92ís Oct. 10 luncheon. Estrella will speak about what Sonoma County does to promote and deliver solutions necessary to mitigate environmental impacts on climate change.

Sonoma County and California lead the nation in programs to effectively reduce the effects of our changing climate and changing natural and manmade environment. Estrella will share information and suggestions on how we can make a difference to mitigate the coming changes to our environment and how the county supports us in finding solutions to save on energy and also save money.

SIR Branch #92 is a local club for retired gentlemen that meets at 11:15 a.m. the second Tuesday of the month at Berger Center. Meetings include a social hour, bar service, lunch, a monthly golf tournament and a monthly speaker.
