Post-fire wildflower walk

Sugarloaf State Park

Saturday May 19th 2018 - 9:00am to

– Saturday, May 19

Botanist Peter Warner leads this leisurely walk, 9 a.m.-1 p.m., to observe and discuss the various effects of fire and its chemical by-products on the flora (and fauna) across several different habitat types, including grassland, oak woodland, and chaparral. Wear clothing and sturdy footwear you don’t mind getting dirty, and expect 3 to 4 miles at a slow pace. Bring water and snacks and dress for the sun and weather. Cost is $10. Go to www.sugarloafpark.org for more info.
