Hike the headwaters of Spring Creek

Trione-Annadel State Park

Saturday June 16th 2018 - 9:00am to

Ever thought about the connection of Lake Ilsanjo in Trione-Annadel State Park with the Russian River and the Pacific Ocean? On Saturday, June 16, 9 a.m.-1:30 p.m., join a California naturalist for a guided hike up Spring Creek Trail, studying the creek habitat along the way. At the lake, hikers will get to see where the water flows into the lake from various seasonal drainages, and learn about the history of the lake, lake habitat, and how it is part of the Russian River Watershed.

Wear hiking shoes, layers appropriate for weather, and bring lunch and water. Sunscreen and bug repellent is a good idea. Trekking poles are recommended. Appropriate for children 8 or older; total mileage is about 5 miles with an elevation gain of 250 feet. Free; donations accepted at the Visitor Center. No advance reservations needed. Dogs not allowed. Meet on Carissa Avenue in Santa Rosa and find parking along the residential street near the top, or along Annadel Heights Drive.
