Sugar Shuttle to Hood Mountain Regional ParkSunday October 7th 2018 - 9:00am to Want to do a thru-hike from Sugarloaf to Hood Mountain or vice versa? Ride the Sugar Shuttle. Every other hour, 9 a.m.-12:30 p.m., the shuttle will leave from Sugarloaf or Hood Mountain Regional Park’s Pythian Road parking lot. Make a reservation, park at one end of the trail, and ride to the other end and hike back. Riding first and hiking back to your car is the easiest way – no worries about how long you take to finish your adventure. Reservations are recommended, but you can ride on a space-available basis, too. This 7.4-mile one-way hike includes 2,300 feet of climbing, and takes 3.5-4.5 hours. It crosses some of Sonoma County’s most important creeks, including critical steelhead habitat. Bring sunscreen, snacks, and lots of water. Suggested donation $10. Visit www.sugarloafpark.org/events/ for more info. |
