Free hike and yoga at Jack London

Jack London State Park

Saturday December 8th 2018 - 10:00am to

Enjoy stunning scenery, exercise, fresh air, and the opportunity for connecting with family and friends on Dec. 8, 10 a.m.-noon, at Jack London State Historic Park. Take a guided hike to the Ancient Redwood and enjoy a yoga session.

Immerse yourself in nature’s grandeur at the magnificent 2,000-year-old Redwood tree. This is a chance for you to be one with nature and rediscover yourself deeper in your subconscious. Meet in the ranch parking lot at 10 a.m. for a brief introduction before hiking to the Ancient Redwood to start the class, led by instructor Dawn Justice.

Justice has been practicing yoga for over 20 years and is a Yoga Alliance-certified yoga instructor since 2006. The foundation of her practice combines the physical with an inner emotional and spiritual journey. By integrating body, breath, movement, and meditative awareness, as well as time spent in nature, she strives to promote an understanding of the interdependency of all these aspects in personal health and well-being. Visit her website at dawnjusticeyoga.com.

This 4.5-mile, moderate hike will be on an uneven, rocky trail through mixed evergreens and redwoods. Wear sturdy shoes and bring plenty of water. No yoga mats will be necessary.

Hiking poles are optional. Admission is free – parking fees apply. Rain will cancel.
