Walk into early spring

Jack London State Park

Saturday March 9th 2019 - 9:00am to

9 a.m.-noon

The focus of this hike will be on early spring wildflowers and mushrooms. Naturalist John Lynch will lead a slow-paced, five-mile nature walk that will start in the Beauty Ranch and end at the Ancient Redwood. With the abundant rains, some of the early bloomers are Indian warrior, mission bells, canyon delphinium, houndís tongue and Western trillium. Wear sturdy shoes, bring water, snacks and binoculars on this three-hour, moderate walk open to ages 11 and up. Be prepared for a few muddy trails and stream crossings. Meet in the ranch parking lot of Jack London State Historic Park. Cost is $10 per person. Contact Deborah Large if you have any questions at dlarge@jacklondonpark.com. Register at jacklondonpark.com/jack-london-future-events.html.
