SVCAC to review development plan for Springs area

The Sonoma Valley Citizens Advisory Commission (SVCAC) meets next on Wednesday, Aug. 22, and will review and provide comment on a draft of the Springs Specific Plan.

The Springs Specific Plan will eventually serve as the primary planning document and reference guide for future development in the Springs, unincorporated areas that include parts of Agua Caliente, Fetters Hot Springs, and Boyes Hot Springs.

Covering approximately 178 acres, the Springs Specific Plan area is bounded by Agua Caliente Road at the north and Verano Avenue at the south and is bisected by the Highway 12 commercial corridor.

For more information on the Springs Specific Plan go to www.thesprings.specificplan.org.

The SVCAC is an advisory body that reviews and makes recommendations on development projects and planning issues.

The Aug. 22 SVCAC meeting will be held at the chambers of the Sonoma City Council, 177 First St. West, in Sonoma.

For more information on the SVCAC, contact Pat Gilardi, District Director to First District Supervisor Susan Gorin at pat.gilardi@sonoma.county.org.
