St. Patrick’s classes, news
Laurie Boone-Hogen is leading a fascinating adult education class on “Heaven and Hell, Saints and Sinners – Selected Works of Art from the Medievel and Renaissance Periods.” The second and third classes in her three-part series continue on Jan. 16 and 30, 10-11:15 a.m. in the Common Room. Hogen has taught the history of art for decades and is a retired educator with a focus on interfaith education. This class is free and open to anyone in the community.
Redwood Empire Food Bank food distributions have changed since the end of 2018. Starting Jan. 15, the food bank will be at St. Patrick’s on the first and third Tuesdays of the month from 5 to 6 p.m. This is for anyone needing food assistance. The church can always use more volunteers to box up and hand out the food. If you are interested, please contact Eleanor Albon at (281) 610-8043 or ralbon@aol.com.
St. Patrick’s has an ongoing collection for FISH – non-perishable food and diapers are always needed – and new white socks for the Open Table Ministry at Church of the Incarnation. These items can be left in Stevenson Hall. Call 833-4228 for more information.
On Jan. 20 the church is having its annual meeting. There will be only one service that day, at 10 a.m., followed by the meeting and a potluck luncheon in Stevenson Hall.
St. Patrick’s is located at 9000 Sonoma Highway, across from the Kenwood Fire House. For more information, call 833-4228 or go to stpatrickskenwood.org.
