A vote for CuclisDear Editor
I attended the recent First District Supervisor Candidates forum at the Bennett Valley Grange Hall. Thank you, Alec Peters, for doing a great job of moderating and providing us voters the chance to get to know the candidates’ positions on the issues.
Listening to the candidates, I believe the one who greatly stood out and clearly is the most qualified to be our First District Supervisor is Gina Cuclis.
As a 30-year Sonoma Valley resident, Gina deeply understands firsthand the issues important to the citizens of this District. For example, she will provide leadership to create sensible solutions to the impacts of tourism while also protecting our local economy. She is a back to basics candidate who believes fixing the roads, protecting public safety, addressing the short term vacation rental issues, and working with both business and residents in solving their issues is the primary job of our Supervisor. When you ask Gina a question, you’ll leave the conversation knowing what she thinks.
Gina is the only candidate who has not moved into the First District to run for office, she has been a community leader, advocate and consensus builder in the First District for 30 years and has been involved in many issues. She is currently the elected President of the County Board of Education.
Please join me on June 7 in voting for Gina Cuclis to be our next County Supervisor.
