New exhibit in Sonoma by Kenwood artist Fred Parker

New Generations, a one-man exhibition of new paintings by Kenwood artist Fred R. Parker, will take place at the Alley Gallery in Sonoma, Sept. 2-24.

New Generations will present the latest versions of several previous paintings the artist has created during the last 30 years living in Sonoma Valley. His works celebrate Sonoma Valley's renowned visual beauty.

The public is invited to the opening reception sponsored by Deerfield Ranch Winery on Friday, Sept. 1, 4-8 p.m. Newly designed labels of the wines served will feature images by the artist.

The gallery is open Wednesdays-Sundays, from 1-7 p.m. Parker will be present and working at his easel on new paintings throughout the entire run of the show.

The Alley Gallery is part of the La Haye Art Center located at 148 East Napa St. in Sonoma, with the gallery entrance in the alley adjacent to parking behind the Sebastiani Theatre. A portion of all gallery sales will be donated to support the Art Encounters program administered by Parker for the Kenwood Elementary School.

Contact Fred at fred@parkerfineart.com or 833-2602, or visit his gallery/studio/residence at 8467 Sonoma Hwy. at Adobe Canyon Road, Kenwood.
