VOTMA picnic at Plaza Park
The Valley of the Moon Alliance (VOTMA) invites everyone to a Sept. 23 fundraiser at Kenwood Plaza Park, from noon to 4 p.m.
The day features the maiden voyage of the Maria Carrillo High School Culinary Program’s food truck, and students will prepare chicken, beef or portobello mushroom burgers and sides. Colleen and Steve Rose and the old Vineyards Inn crew will be pitching in, as well. Come salute the Roses and their legacy of contributions to the MCHS Culinary Program and many other community causes.
There will be libations, live entertainment, interesting presentations, and a silent auction. It’s a chance to enjoy Kenwood’s jewel of a park and mingle with locals committed to keeping this valley beautiful. Advance tickets are $30, students $20, with day of event tickets $35.
You can buy tickets at the Kenwood Press office, or online at brownpapertickets.com. Search for “Preserving Sonoma Valley Party.”
All proceeds benefit VOTMA, a nonprofit, volunteer organization promoting the preservation, protection and maintenance of the agricultural character, natural resources and rural beauty of Sonoma Valley.
