Get ready for Glen Ellen Village Fair

On Sunday, Oct. 8, the Glen Ellen Fair Association will bring their tiny hamlet together to celebrate, the 27th Annual Glen Ellen Village Fair. It happens one day each year on the second Sunday in October.

“A Sense of Community” is the theme and the Grand Marshal is the Sonoma Developmental Center.

Live musical entertainment on the Main Stage will be Ten Foot Tone, The Illegitimate AC/DC, and Jami Jamison Band. And for the younger crowd on the Second Stage, come hear Radar, The Trips, RockCats, and more. There is a little something for everyone.

Visit more than 80 vendors. Sit yourself down on a bale of straw with a plate of food and a beverage. Let the kids spend some time in the crafts booth, have their face painted and ride a pony. Kids Alley will have carnival-style games for youngsters. You’ll find one-of-a-kind gifts, pottery, jewelry, yard art, paintings, photography, and so much more – think birthday gifts, anniversaries, or even holiday shopping. Try your luck with a raffle ticket (or five or 10), and take home a fair T-shirt or vintage poster.

For vendor applications, parade entries, raffle ticket sales and further information call 935-9163. The Parade starts at 12 noon and the fair begins immediately afterward. Please note: On Fair Day, Oct. 8, Arnold Drive will be closed between Warms Springs and London Ranch roads at 9:30 a.m. and will reopen at 6 p.m.
