More trails open in Trione-Annadel State Park

Effective Saturday, Feb. 17, two more trails were opened to the public in Trione-Annadel State Park. Two Quarry Trail from Richardson to its junction with Marsh Trail at the bathroom, and Marsh Trail from the bathroom to Canyon Trail are now open.

Ridge Trail, Marsh Trail to Ridge Trail, South Burma, Lawndale and Schultz remain closed until further repairs are completed. The Marsh area remains closed due to the two bridges being completely burned and the need for further environmental research on the federally protected species in Ledson Marsh.

Soil conditions in the burned areas are fragile so it is important to stay on the trail. State Park rangers are continuing to patrol and issue citations for those found in the closed areas.
