More trails now open in Trione-Annadel State Park
Much of the 5,092-acre Trione-Annadel State park has been off-limits ever since the Nuns fire damaged over 60 percent of the park last October.
In Kenwood, the Schultz and Lawndale trailheads are now open. However, the Schultz Trail is an out-and-back only to the power lines. Lawndale is open through to the Marsh/Two Quarry trails intersection.
Because the historic vehicle bridge burned at the Ledson Marsh spillway and the puncheon bridge on Ridge Trail burned, these two areas remain closed. The puncheon bridge on Ridge is scheduled for replacement in June; the spillway bridge replacement/restoration is scheduled for August.
