4th of July Parade planning meeting

Kenwood Depot

Saturday May 4th 2013 - 6:30pm to

Things are getting organized for the 4th of July in Kenwood, including the unforgettable 4th of July Hometown Parade. The next parade organizing meeting is Tuesday, May 7, 6:30 p.m. at the Kenwood Depot. If you would like to help, come on by.

The parade is put on thanks to the Kenwood Community Club, and the parade committee is looking for nominations to serve as Grand Marshal(s). If you have a great idea, send it to info@kenwoodparade.com.

Visit the parade website, www.kenwoodparade.com, to see all the details as well as download a parade entry form. Floats, marchers, animals, classic cars – all are welcome to participate in the parade.

There are other events going on July 4. Don’t miss the annual pancake breakfast at Kenwood Community Church. If you are athletically inclined, the Empire Runners Club will be having their 10K and 3K runs through beautiful Kenwood (go to www.empirerunners.org for more information).

And this year after the parade, look for some swinging music at Plaza Park, so make sure you stick around! More information to come.
