Music at Oakmont launches its 2014-15 season with a solo piano recital by international star Einav Yarden on Thursday, Oct. 16, at 1:30 p.m., at Berger Center.

Yarden dazzled the Oakmont audience three years ago with her concert. This time, she will be heard in Bach’s English Suite No. 2 in A Minor, Ravel’s Valses nobles et sentimentales, and Schubert’s Sonata in G Major.

The young Israeli virtuoso studied with Leon Fleischer at Baltimore’s Peabody Institute, and has won numerous prizes and awards at international competitions. In 2013, she released her debut solo CD on the Challenge Classics label. The disc has garnered praise all over the world, and was selected CD of the Month by the prestigious German magazine Piano News.
