Therapeutic nature walks, qigongQuarryhill Botanical GardenThursday May 19th 2016 - 9:00am to On May 19 and 26, registered yoga and qigong teacher Julie Cade and Christine Collins, Msc OT, will lead a series of therapeutic nature walks at Quarryhill Botanical Garden in Glen Ellen. In the Japanese spirit of “forest bathing” (shinrin-yoku), emphasis will be on savoring the sensory experience of being in, and a part of, nature. Each walk combines guided mindful walks with gentle warm-up movements of qigong and yoga. Walks begin at 9 a.m. Cost is $15. No prior experience of qigong or yoga, nor any equipment, is needed.
