Cinematography master class with Jack Green

Kenwood Depot

Saturday September 24th 2016 - 10:00am to

Having worked on 26 Clint Eastwood films as director of photography, Jack Green's skills and talents are extraordinary. These films include Bird (Grand Prix Award for Technical Excellence, Cannes Film Festival 1988), Unforgiven, (Academy Award nomination for cinematography, Boston Film Critics Award, 1991), and Bridges of Madison County (ASC Awards, nomination 1995.) Green was recently awarded a Lifetime Achievement Award from the American Society of Cinematographers.

Green will teach a master class in cinematography at the Kenwood Depot on Saturday, Sept. 24, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

He will talk about the role of lighting and mood; his mastery of cinematography in terms of efficiency and cooperation and how this contributed to Eastwood's reputation of always being on time and under budget; the meaning of visual poetics and more. There will be plenty of time for discussion and questions.

The class is free to attending filmmakers, students studying filmmaking and Wine Country Film Festival Pass holders; $15 for all others.

Tickets are available at wcff.eventbrite.com. For more information, call 935-3456.
