SIR #92 will hear from SR vice mayor

Oakmont Berger Center

Tuesday July 11th 2017 - 11:15am to

Jack Tibbets, the newly elected vice mayor of Santa Rosa, will be the guest speaker at the July 11 Sons In Retirement (SIR) Branch #92 luncheon at the Berger Center. Lunch begins at 11:15 a.m.

Tibbets was born and raised in Santa Rosa. Prior to attending college, he traveled and worked as an open water lifeguard for the County of Santa Barbara. However, the political bug bit him early, and he enrolled at U.C. Berkeley after interning for Congressman Mike Thompson in Washington D.C., the State Capitol in Sacramento, and the U.N. in New York. He returned to Santa Rosa to work for the Sonoma County Economic Development Board and later, California Clean Power as director of government and community relations. He ran for the City Council in our last election, and won. He is the youngest person to serve in this important capacity in local government.

SIR #92 is a local club for retired gentlemen that meets on the second Tuesday of the month. Meetings include a social hour, bar service lunch, a golf tournament and a monthly speaker.
