Summertime hike at Jack London State Park

Jack London State Park

Saturday August 5th 2017 - 8:30am to

Lace up your hiking boots on Saturday, Aug. 5, for a moderately paced, 7.5-mile summertime hike to Fern Lake in Jack London State Park. This lovely hike will wind through the historic orchard to the lake (just outside the Park boundary) and then up the Asbury Creek Trail. It’s a terrific way to learn more about the park trails and get your heart pumping with like-minded hikers. To beat the heat, the hike starts at 8:30 a.m. Expect to finish around 1 p.m. Meet in the Ranch parking lot.

Bring plenty of water, wear sturdy shoes, bring poles, snacks, cameras, binoculars, sunscreen and bug repellant.

Admission is $15 per person and includes parking; $10 for those with parking pass and free to park volunteers.

Make arrangements online at jacklondonpark.com/summer-hike.html.
