London memorial at the gravesite

Jack London State Park

Saturday November 18th 2017 - 10:00am to

This year marks the 101st anniversary of Jack London’s death. On Saturday, Nov. 18, Jack London State Historic Park will pay a special tribute to one of the world’s best-known American writers with a gravesite memorial.

In his short life, London accomplished much, not only as a writer of 50 books, but also as an adventurer, reporter, war correspondent and innovative farmer. When he died, he was in the process of developing a model ranch, destined to be the finest in California.

The memorial is open to the public at no charge. Meet at the House of Happy Walls Museum at 10 a.m. to start the half-mile walk to the gravesite. A golf cart will be available for those who prefer not to walk.
