Zen Center clean up

Sonoma Mountain Zen Center

Saturday February 3rd 2018 - 1:00pm to

Sonoma Mountain Zen Center’s close call with the October wildfires has given it a new resolve to focus on cleaning up its grounds and acreage with an eye toward fire danger mitigation, beautification of the property and using the land for an income crop of some kind.

A volunteer work day will be held on Saturday, Feb. 3, 1-4 p.m. to clear some areas not burned by the fire. Everyone is invited to a buffet lunch after the Shusho talk by Konpo and then working on the land. Volunteers will work outside in bramble and poison oak, so wear protective clothing and gloves, and bring loppers, handsaws, or machetes if you have them. RSVP to office@smzc.org or 545-8105.
