Morning walks in the garden


Quarryhill Botanical Garden

Quarryhill Botanical Garden is offering a series of walks tied to the flowering cycles of its wild Asian flora. Experience rare wild plants in full bloom. Each walk will highlight the energy of the season, from the ancient grace of the magnolias in early spring, to the exuberant and fragrant roses and colorful lilies that bloom as spring and summer unfold. Quarryhill Docent Kathleen Aspenns will lead the walks and share the history, lore, botanical knowledge, and healing gifts of the flowers during your stroll in the garden.

The garden walks begin Saturday, March 17, from 10 a.m. to noon, and continue April 28, June 9 and July 21. Please register in advance at floraofasia.com/classes. The fee for each walk is the $12 general admission to the Garden, payable at the Visitor Center the day of the walk.

Quarryhill Botanical Garden is located at 12841 Sonoma Hwy., Glen Ellen. Call 996-3166.
