Learn more about defensible space at Depot

Maintaining defensible space around your home may give you and your family a little more time to escape a wildfire. It may even save your home from igniting.

On Dec. 6, 6-8 p.m., the Bennett Ridge Community Association is bringing two experts to the Kenwood Depot to discuss creating and maintaining defensible space.

On hand will be Caerleon Safford of FireSafe Sonoma, and Cyndi Foreman, Fire Prevention Officer with Rincon Valley & Windsor Fire.

The event is free, but there is a suggested donation to FireSafe Sonoma of $10 per household. FireSafe Sonoma is a 501(c)(3) organization that promotes fire safety and resource management through education, information exchange, resource sharing, and community cooperation.
