Volunteer training at Jack London State Historic Park

Jack London State Park

Saturday April 27th 2019 - 9:00am to

Jack London Park Partners, the nonprofit responsible for operations at Jack London State Park, is seeking volunteers to work in the entrance station, bookshop/visitor center, as docents in the museum and cottage, conduct tours, drive golf carts, play piano, help with administrative/office duties, work in park and trail maintenance, lead hikes, patrol the trails, and assist with special events. No experience required, but there is a commitment of four hours per month. Volunteers will receive a park pass for their service.

Spring training dates will be two Saturdays, April 27 and May 4, 9 a.m.-4:30 p.m. both days. Those looking specifically to volunteer as trail patrol, hike leader, hike sweep or for park and trail maintenance should come to a one-day training on May 31, 9 a.m.-1 p.m.

Jack London Park Partners receives no state funding, and relies on volunteers to help operate the parks.

For information and to sign up, contact Susan St. Marie at sstmarie@jacklondonpark.com.
