Unusual Asian plants available at spring plant sale


Quarryhill Botanical Garden

Saturday May 4th 2019 - 9:00am to

Over 130 species of trees, shrubs, and herbaceous perennials, many of which are uncommon in the nursery trade, will be available at Quarryhill Botanical Garden’s annual Spring Plant Sale on Saturday, May 4, 9 a.m.-1 p.m. (The sale opens to members at 8 a.m.) Featured species are native to temperate Asia and are descended from plants grown from wild-collected seeds. The inventory includes several types of magnolias, maples, roses, dogwoods, and camellias, as well as attractive and rare plants such as Alniphyllum pterospermum and Incarvillea arguta. Quarryhill members receive a 20 percent discount. Bring a box or container to carry the plants you purchase. Proceeds from the Spring Plant Sale help support the mission of Quarryhill Botanical Garden – conserving plants and slowing species loss.
